Train times taken from 2009 Scotrail timetables. Highland Bicycle Transfers times are examples, we can depart/arrive at whatever time suits your own schedule best.
As of September 2009, a standard day single is £16.20 per person between Inverness and Wick. The cost for the Highland Bicycle Transfers van to go between Inverness and JoG is £130, for up to 4 bikes and 4 riders. The train is without a doubt cheaper, but cycle spaces are very limited, the train only goes as far as Wick/Thurso, and you lose most of end-to-end cycling time for the day
Train times and fares are simmillar for Inverness to Thurso, which is slightly further away from John o' Groats.
